Renaissance??

If by "renaissance" Mr. Chavez means in the same way that Adolf Hitler and Lenin and Mao were renaissances for humanity. Then he might have a point.

I doubt most people in Venezuela would consider bare shelves, fast increasing food prices, thugs running the street, no free speech, repression of dissent with tear gas, water cannons and beatings to be a "renaissance".
