"Meds for Clunkers" program scrapped

Senior citizens have long outlived their productive life according to government officials and need to be scrapped to save billions for the government. "They are wasteful, they produce nothing any longer. They cost far too much and are wasteful of gas" said one high official in Congress.

The proposed end of the program, once known as MediCare, could save the government tens of billions of dollars every year. The government has said it would put up $3500 to $4500 per unit for "burial costs". Local MediCare dealers are throwing up their hands.

The Tom Daschle Act would allow the clunkers to continue being used as long as no money is spent on upkeep and repair. "We will graciously allow them to live out their lives naturally without any life-extending interference" said one member of Congress.

"We expect this program to be very popular" said another.
