Barack Obama's Big Magic Show

Stimulus Magic! Pulling numbers from a hat!

Mr. Awesome with his robe of stars and moons put on a smoke an mirrors show for his audience of press. He told them to watch his GDP numbers magically go up even as consumer and business spending has dropped, all based on government spending borrowed dollars.

The audience was not so impressed.

Then he puts his hat on the dais and tells them that he has saved or created 500,000... no 650,000.... no (Rahm Emmanuel whispers, bigger numbers might impress them) 1 million jobs! That is right we have saved or created a million jobs with the stimulus package, just as long as nobody tries to actually find these jobs of course.

Even the leftwing, willingly gullible media are finding this one hard to swallow. Nothing but a big fraud being carried out by the federal government.

Too Silent, Too long, So long!!

Newt, Rudy, Huck, Mitt, Issa, Pence and others who are silent or jump from lefty to righty based on who looks likely to win might be nominally on our side but they are not leaders and they are not doers.

If it had been up to them none of us would be talking about Hoffman being able to win this thing. They didn't have a first thought or reaction to back the conservative, they followed what they thought was popular on the side they claim to be on.

We need people who are conservative first. We need people who don't have to think about what they believe and who do not change their opinions after putting a spit covered thumb in the air.

I see very few conservatives who can carry that mantle or even just a label. Mike Pence in this case was a major disappointment. Its over for Newt, "Cross dressing" Rudy might be Governor but he will never rise higher. Mike Steele was a mistake from day one.

Sure its just my opinion, but I think its shared by a very large number of conservatives.

Is Sarah Palin the only one we can count on??

The Great Washing

36,000 die every year from normal seasonal flu

Yet the government is preparing to shut down the internets most popular websites in case of an 'epidemic' of the so-called "Swine Flu". We need to face the facts that this will only be a pretext for the Obama administration to shut down dissent. The "Swine Flu" has not come close to passing the regular seasonal flu in deaths or illnesses, all of the panic being created is just part of causing the pretext.

"Never waste a crisis" - Rahm Emmanuel

The leftist media is doing their part to create a panic, but that isn't going well... yet.

If a real medical epidemic did cause people to stay home and put real strain on the internet, I could see them quashing internet streaming video and stuff. Any attempt to shut down news forums like Free Republic would be nothing more than Stalinist though.

If they did that I guess they would use the pretext to move against talk radio and other non-leftist media outlets. All in the name of emergency medical containment, of course.

Last week President Obama declared H1N1 a National Emergency

Then we would stuck with the leftwing old media that is, right now, begging to become government-funded media. Does anyone think we would be likely to get real news and unbiased information or even a real diversity of opinion from the Government Times or the Federal Times?

Its a great pretext for a great opportunity to cleanse the nation of opposition media and you can bet mass protests and demonstrations would be banned under the quarantine rules. All for the sake of "public safety" of course.

Why is the left afraid of Doug Hoffman?

Even the American Spectator has noticed that the MoveOn crowd and the Democrats are scared to death that Hoffman could win the NY-23 race.

Why?

Because they think it will inspire and empower the "Palin wing" of the Republican Party, and this is bad news for them. They might pretend, and have their media outlets say, that only moderate and "open tent" Republicans can win elections, but they know this is untrue.

Democrats are not afraid of "moderate" Republicans precisely because they know they can beat them. They are very afraid of conservatives, though.

Conservatives can win by being conservative and not pandering to the dead rodents in the middle of the road.

The Coming Retreat

Obama's dithering on sending more troops for the past months has now tripled the US troop death poll in Afghanistan. This is no accident of course. It has become obvious that the Pres__ent wants to pull out and abandon the poor country to the Islamic extremists.

New Rules of Engagement have made it tougher for our soldiers to defend themselves.

Now they are considering abandoning the countryside and "protecting" the cities. Which is not good with the RoE's that hamstring the soldiers in heavily populated areas. Now we should confine them to those areas where they aren't allowed to shoot?

Why does Obama hate our troops?

The point is to create a situation where the Taliban wins, so he can retreat while making America look as weak as possible.

That's right, Obama wants to retreat.

I hope the girls and women of Afghanistan have enjoyed the freedoms they have had for the past several years, I hope the girls learned something in school. Pretty soon they won't be able to go to school any more and they will be forced back in their burkha's.

Trust me. Obama wants the US to lose this war.

Afghanistan: US death toll highest since war began

Abandoned by their Commander-In-Chief as the General in charge has begged for more troops, troop morale has plunged. The Taliban are emboldened like they have not been since they were pushed from power.

Obama has been too busy declaring war on Fox than to fight against the Taliban.

Obama has been too busy attending fundraisers. Playing golf and appearing on TV programs to make the necessary decisions to support the troops.

Releasing a trial balloon saying the Taliban could become a political party certainly did not help.

Obama has been an absolute failure as a leader. That much has already become clear.

More US troops have been lost in Afghanistan in October than since the war started 8 years ago.

New York says bye to money and hello to poverty

Especially in New York City where about a one in seven has left in the last eight years to escape the high taxes and are replaced by those with lower-income. The city is ever raising its tax rates and this is driving people to find better climates elsewhere.

I know that many will laugh an say unintended consequences, but I tend to doubt they are unintended.
