"Meds for Clunkers" program scrapped

Senior citizens have long outlived their productive life according to government officials and need to be scrapped to save billions for the government. "They are wasteful, they produce nothing any longer. They cost far too much and are wasteful of gas" said one high official in Congress.

The proposed end of the program, once known as MediCare, could save the government tens of billions of dollars every year. The government has said it would put up $3500 to $4500 per unit for "burial costs". Local MediCare dealers are throwing up their hands.

The Tom Daschle Act would allow the clunkers to continue being used as long as no money is spent on upkeep and repair. "We will graciously allow them to live out their lives naturally without any life-extending interference" said one member of Congress.

"We expect this program to be very popular" said another.

1st quarter worse than expected, but media lies

1st Quarter GDP numbers were revised downward from -5.5% to -6.4%. This means that the economy did worse than previously thought. So how did the media report this?

NY Times- US Economy shrank less than expected in quarter

Obama: Economy has stepped away from precipice

Dollar falls versus Euro as US economy shrinks at slower pace

Well apparently the europeans and asians actually read the first page of the report instead of listening to the US media.

GOP's last gasp?

Is Sarah Palin as conservative as conservatives and leftists think she is?

I don't know. I do know that she has excited a dying political party and has infused new life into it with her personality. If she is a serious contender for the 2012 Presidency the conservative base will likely come together to support her.

Why? Because the so-called "moderate" Republicans and those who have been drinking the water inside the beltway too long are solidly against her. That is really all the conservatives need to know, who are the enemies? If the media likes a Republican its almost a certainty that he/she is not a true conservative.

Whether Palin does radio commentaries, holds a series of rallies across the country, helps to create a party-within-the-party or tries to run some sort of conventional campaign she is already the top story for conservatives and the leftists alike. They tried to say she was done when she resigned as Governor but by giving her so much coverage they have confirmed her as a political movement to watch.

Pump Up The Crisis!

Since the swine flu epidemic has failed to materialize those who want the federal government to take on new powers need to create a crisis. I know, they can gin it up with press releases and use the media to make it look like there's a crisis.

Then we can bring in foreign troops to train with us for a 'National Level' alert, possibly caused by bio-terror or by, maybe, swine flu. Bring on the scare tactics!

Oh and a judge has now said forced vaccinations are a plenty good reason to suspend the Constitution!

UK by-election results a "stunner"

Chloe Smith, 27, became the youngest MP by winning a by-election in what was considered to be a very safe seat for the Labour Party. Norwich North voters had given Labour a 5,000 vote majority in the last election there but now the Tories won handily.

Not only did Labour lose by more than 7,000 votes they came pretty close to having to battle the Liberal Democrat Party for second place in their rotten borough. If the UKIP votes were added to the Tories it was a clear majority, showing that voters are really fed up with the leftists.

Whether or not the young Chloe Smith can win the next national election remains to be seen but she could become the next wunderkind for the party if she plays this right. After the big showing for the Tories in the european elections and the scandals in the present administration, it could give the Conservative Party their biggest majorities in decades.

Deviationism

In Stalinist Communism deviationism is an expressed belief that is not in accordance with the party doctrine for the time and area.

Lou Dobbs raised questions about Barack Obama's birth certificate and the left goes wild calling for him to be fired or censored by CNN. CNN has mailed out a message to the Lou Dobbs staff saying the issue is "dead".

Obammunism has begun.
